Should you make a photo?
Do not prepare your own photo unless the agency or your transaction instructions specifically ask for one.
This page covers a learner (instruction) permit. It does not automatically apply to driver licenses, state ID cards, or every exception.
Issuing agency: Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles
Where the photo is taken
You apply for a Nebraska learner's permit (LPE or LPD) at the DMV with your documents; vision and written tests are required. Nebraska DMV says to be prepared to take a new photo every time you visit a DMV office; its permit pages do not say separately whether the permit shows a photo.
Online steps and photo upload
The first permit is not available online; online applications are offered only when graduating to the next permit (School Permit or Provisional Operator's Permit). No page reviewed mentions uploading a photo.
Photo law and rules
A photo-specific statute or rule for this credential has not yet been summarized on this page.
