Should you make a photo?
Do not prepare your own photo unless the agency or your transaction instructions specifically ask for one.
This page covers a state identification card. It does not automatically apply to driver licenses, learner permits, or every exception.
Issuing agency: Missouri Department of Revenue
Where the photo is taken
Missouri renews and replaces nondriver IDs at local license offices. The Department says a new photo may be necessary when your signature is recaptured, such as after a name change; the pages reviewed do not describe the photo step for every ID transaction.
Online or mail renewal and replacement
The Department of Revenue pages reviewed for nondriver IDs direct renewals and replacements to a license office and do not describe online, mail, or remote renewal for nondriver IDs. Whether the driver-license remote renewal option covers nondriver IDs, and how the photo is handled, is not established.
Photo law and rules
RSMo 302.181.6 says the nondriver's license card contains essentially the same information and photograph or digital image as the driver's license.
